The Fondation Sciences Mathématiques de Paris provides funding for about fifteen years of post-doctoral fellowships in mathematics and in computer science for the 2021-2022 academic year. Appointed fellows will hold one or two-year positions in affiliated research laboratories, starting in October 2021.
Positions are open to holders of a doctorate in mathematics or computer science. Laureates of this program must have defended their PhD thesis before the beginning of the post-doctoral contract. Those who defended their PhD thesis in one of the affiliated laboratories cannot apply. The program is open to all disciplines of Mathematics and Computer Science. The criteria for selection are scientific excellence and quality of the scientific project.
A number of positions under the title of "mathematical interactions" will be reserved for candidates working on the interplay between Mathematics and other scientific fields.
Each post-doctoral fellow will receive a net salary of € 2,500.00 per month (before deduction at source of the income tax) and will receive health and welfare insurance.
Fellows will contribute to the scientific activities of their laboratory, particularly with regard to seminars and working groups.
At the end of their contract, fellows will write a report on their scientific accomplishment, comparing it to their initial project, and describing their professional goals. For two-year positions, the concerned fellows will also write a report at the end of the first year to justify renewal of the contract.
